Just reading the list of the Names, or titles, of our God is more than encouraging, it is enlightening! It will reveal His character and His great love for YOU!
This is just a partial list, there are many more found throughout the scriptures, nuggets of gold and treasures waiting to be found.
Who is the Great I Am? Exodus 3:14 – God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”
The Apostle Paul wrote “Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11 NIV.
Jesus Christ IS Lord! His Name is above every other name. Jehovah, or Yahweh, in the Old Testament is Jesus in the New Testament! He is the same “I AM”!
I AM the Bread of Life. John 6:35, 48
I AM the Light of the World. John 8:12
I AM the Gate… John 10:7
I AM the Good Shepherd. John 10:11, 14
I AM the Resurrection and the Life. John 11:25
I AM the Way and the Truth and the Life. John 14:6
I AM the True Vine. John 15:1,5
Jesus conquered death, hell and the grave, when He said “I am the resurrection and the life..” He proved it! Only God could do that! The Great I AM!
