“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Hebrews 13:8
He’s not, you know… “moody”.
Never one time have I worried when I went before Him in prayer that He might be…
Bothered by me.
Irritated at me.
Bored because of me.
Disgusted at the sight of me.
Repulsed by me.
Shocked at me.
Annoyed around me.
Weary of me.
Exhausted with me.
Drained by me.
Appalled at the ME in me.
No, not one time has He ever made me feel any less than…
Loved by Him.
Cherished by Him.
Treasured by Him.
Blessed with Him.
Adored around Him.
Precious in Him.
Redeemed because of Him.
Saved by Him.
Beloved of Him.
Jesus Christ is merciful, that means He is full of mercy. He wants to give it to us, He longs to extend that Hand of Mercy to His children.
He doesn’t wake up in a bad mood. (He never sleeps!)
He is The Same.
Always.
Forever.
When I am weary, worn out, exhausted physically, emotionally and even spiritually, there is One I can run to and never worry about how I am going to be received.
Does that mean He ignores my mistakes, my failures and my sins?
No, there is repentance, then forgiveness, and His gentle hand reminds me that life is so much easier when I walk in His ways! But when I do fall, when I do stumble, He is there.
He doesn’t leave me in my failures!
What do you need today? A God that you can depend on? One that never slumbers or sleeps and is faithful no matter the circumstance?
Jesus is that answer. Because even though I may be…
Grouchy.
Whiny.
Irritable.
Depressed.
Touchy.
Snappy.
Pessimistic.
Demanding.
Challenging.
And even burdensome…(praying The Sweetheart skips this post!)… Jesus loves me anyway.
He just loves me!
And He just loves you too.
Thank you Lord, for being the same.

Michelle, so sorry but this comment was sent to spam, I just now discovered it! So sorry to hear about your friend, that is heartbreaking! I have known people who have struggled with things just like that, asking “Where was God when…” We understand that we live in a sinful world and we are not immune to “life”. But God is always there! We just have to turn to Him. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Blessings to you! ♥
Nannette. thanks for this lovely post. I used to have a friend. She married a preacher and they were deeply in love. Then, the man got sick and died during the process. My friend decided the best is for her to stop following God and now, she does not believe in God saying where was He when her husband was dying.
I know for sure, Jesus is never moody and we should always free our heart as this helps us to live longer as well !

Speechless and secure, love that! Glad you came by today Beth, I am in a writing funk, or so it seems this week. Ever have a wonderful thought and just not able to get it “down on paper”? Another reminder that He is THE SAME, no matter what I feel or don’t feel, have or don’t have. For that we can be thankful! Blessings dear friend. ♥
Mary, thank you for taking the time to comment. It was quite a different post for me, yet simple and true! Love how you said it, He remains constant!
So very encouraging, Nannette and exactly the message I needed to hear tonight, my friend! Thanks for this reminder of Christ’s deep love that leaves me speechless and so secure. 🙂
Your post blessed me today! Great reminders how Jesus remains constant even as we are always changing! Blessings, Mary!
Thank you for stopping by Cindy! Jesus Christ the same!

Glad you are back Floyd! Thank you so much, always happy to hear your thoughts. Blessings!
Wouldn’t that be awful?! So thankful He is the same! Thank you Kelsey!
This is so beautiful. Thank God that He is never moody! I can’t imagine having a God, whose mood changes as quickly as mine or is based on hormones or situations. What a great reminder. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Awesome post! Seems I’ve got my connection back on track! (works better on the ground…)
This was one of my favorite posts of the past week! Thanks for linking up with Recommendation Saturday! Heart Hugs, Shelly <3
So true Joy! We know we don’t have to DO anything to earn His love, nor can we UNDO it! He just loves us and I keep reminding myself of it as much as I can. Love you!
Thank you so much for stopping by! I am glad you enjoyed the post. Aren’t we thankful He is always the same!!
I love this! So encouraging! Stopping by from thought provoking Thursday.
Thank you for this! I keep the idea of “he doesn’t love me more, he doesn’t love me less” in my head. When I really grasped that concept, it was life changing. I needed to hear what you had to say. Loved it 🙂
