Beautiful…
You’re too young.
You should date other guys.
How do you know you love him at your age?
It will never last.

The Bride drives a 1971 Nova with a rusted-out floorboard.
The Groom drives a 1977 Firethorn Red Camaro.
After the honeymoon the Bride drives the 1977 Firethorn Red Camaro and the Groom drives the 1971 Nova with the rusted-out floorboard.

What a wonderful tribute and testimony to a your husband and marriage. I’m sure he feels loved!
Awesome! Mine was certainly not new, ha, it came as is, all I could afford! Hubby was spoiled for sure. But he was not selfish so he spoiled me! My sister bought a new Nova a few years after mine but I can’t remember what year, baby blue it was 😉 those good ole days of the 70’s! Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you! So glad you stopped by! Blessings friend…
a fun exercise with such wonderful results, inspiring, huggs
Ode to the naysayers, my first car was a 1972 Chevy Nova, got it as a present from my parents for high school graduation.
Good to hear from you Jeanie! Please tell Jerry hello for us too. God has been good. So glad you have connected thru the blog. Please make yourself at home here, you are most welcome friend!
Thank you Amy…it has been a “trip”! He is a jewel for sure. I visited your blog this morning, what treasures abound! Sounds like we have traveled much the same journey. I pray continued good health on your life as you bless others with sweet life-giving words.
You are very blessed to have such a sweet husband,3 wonderful sons, 1 beautiful daughter-in-law, but he is blessed to have such a beautiful wife. Jerry and I have been married 49 years. we sure do miss you guys. God’s blessings on your family.
34 years is very beautiful. Thanks for sharing you love story
Thanks, Beth. Short and sweet 🙂 He has been so good to me, he deserves more than this little tribute but it is a start! Good to hear from you friend!
I think it is beautiful too! You made me smile Nannette. Much love to you on this beautiful Friday.
Blessings,
beth
Thanks Rachel, I had no idea what I was going to write when I saw the prompt…it just came out! He mentioned the Nova when he was teaching Bible study last week and I hadn’t thought about that Flintstone vehicle for years. Seriously, when it rained my feet would get wet! You trade down to that? That’s love! Thank you for coming over to read and comment. I’m heading your way! Blessings!
Yes Amanda, he has always done that! I have been treated like a princess even when I didn’t deserve it…hmmmm, that was probably ALOT!! It hasn’t been perfect but we have been crazy about each other since I was 15 and he was 17 so that is more like 37 years! Yikes, I didn’t know I was that old! Can’t imagine life without him…don’t ever want to. Thank you so much for taking time to stop by and comment. I am honored. ♥
Hello Denise! So blessed for you to visit me at Hope in the Healing!! You are such a dear and faithful to comment and read our posts. I have been on your blog in the past, it is so uplifting. Thank you for your kind words, they are a blessing to me! ♥
Ha, ha, no Patricia, I don’t think I will give this one up 😉 The poor Nova didn’t make it very long at all, it was in rough shape. It was a stick shift and he taught me how to drive that when I was 16, first time out I hit the biggest chuck hole and blew a tire! His beloved Camaro that his parents bought him for high school graduation stuck around for quite awhile and he hated parting with that. I would hate to think how many cars have passed between us the last 34 years 🙂 So good of you to stop in! I am heading to check out your FMF post! Blessings friend…
I don’t know how we made it Ceil, lol. But my Sweetheart is my anchor for sure. He always gave me the best and he took the leftovers! I thought that was the way it was supposed to be! I found out years later I was just a little spoiled…but I call it blessed. Happy Friday to you too!!
This made me laugh! Thank you!…dropping by from FMF
My husband drives the older car too. 🙂 I guess that’s what guys do, right?
Your marriage is a testament to God’s grace and love for us!
I really love this post, bless you.
Hallo Nanette, I’m visiting from FiveMinuteFriday. I adore your post. I would like a sweetheart like yours, too. But you’re not sharing, are you? What happened to the Camaro and the Nova? Happy 4th of July weekend.
Ciao, Patricia
Hi Dear Nannette! You made me laugh when you described your cars! We were all so young once, how did we ever make it?? Well, I can see how you did. Your husband looks like such a sweetie, and he has done such wonderful things with his life. And you were there the whole time.
Beautiful!!
Happy Friday my friend 🙂
