Before Jesus Christ left this world He gave us a promise: He would not leave us comfortless!
He would leave us with a part of Himself! How is that possible?
He said He would literally dwell IN US.
God is a Spirit. Jesus IS God. He came as God manifest in flesh as ransom for us so that we might gain eternal life. Then He went to prepare a place for us to join Him throughout all eternity.
But thankfully He didn’t leave us alone in this world!
With the power of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, He LIVES in US, alive and working, giving us His power EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
“If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.” John 14:15-18 NKJV.
Once He moves in…He starts working on His new house!
There is much work to be done! Cleaning up the heart, uncluttering the mind, taming the tongue, putting restraints here and there, purging, scrubbing…the list goes on!
This takes a while and sometimes it hurts. He is working on some things that you do not want to let go of yet. There are treasures in that house that belong to you! You like that trash! You want that garbage! Remember Lord, one man’s treasure is another man’s junk!
“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” 1 Corinthians 6:19 NKJV.
But still He keeps molding and you allow Him to continue. You seem to sense something must be going on that you don’t understand.
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 NKJV.
He has come to stay. He has come to LIVE!
He has come to make all things new. Your life will never be the same, you will not want to go back and pick up your “treasures” of this world.
“Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.'” John 14:23 NIV.
YOU are the House…let Him in!

Me too Barbie! Pain is good, pain is good… 🙂 Blessings!
Oh AMEN! I’ve been feeling his rearranging lately. Painful at times, but so necessary!
Thank you so much for visiting Jennifer! Love that, the more we fall in love with Him, the more we want to clean our house!! Perfect!! Blessings friend! ♥
Thank you Janis! I love everything you said…more encouragement! I see His light as long as I keep my eyes on Him and I know He ‘s still working. Amen! We know that even though there’s pain (and He doesn’t CAUSE the pain, He just makes something GOOD OUT OF THE PAIN), He will see us through every step of the way and we will not only become stronger but we will be able to minister to others after a trial because we have been there ourselves. Glory! Thank you for visiting. You have encouraged me today! Blessings friend! ♥
Oh Boy! Has He come to rearrange things in my house and clean up. And I’m not a newcomer to the Lord. But the work seems to be intense for these past couple of years.
Just wanted to stop by and thank you for your words of encouragement–the Scripture from Peter about the trials proving our faith and refining us so that we will praise God when He comes.
Thank you for caring so much. The prayers and support I received that day has really helped me through this week. I see His light as long as I keep my eyes on Him. I know He’s still working and there will be more pain before He is done.
Blessings,
Janis
He has come to make all things new, and the more we fall in love with Him, the more we want to “clean” our houses and serve Him fully. I enjoyed you perspective today. I’m visiting from The Weekend Brew. Have a wonderful weekend!

This is os true, but what is required before our Lorx can start the housecleaning? We must start living with this in mid constantly; we, the one who tries to save and clean up his act with religious rules and laws, are dead! We have exchanged this one for the Living one to live His life in and through us. Sort of living through Romans 6, to Romans 7 and then crying with Paul into Romans 8 , “Not me, but Jesus”. Christ in me, my hope of glory!
Blessings and love XX
