There is an old, old song I remember from my childhood that goes like this:
So let the storms rage high,
The dark clouds rise
They don’t worry me,
For I’m sheltered safe within the arms of God!
He walks with me, and naught of earth shall harm me.
For I’m sheltered in the arms of God!
That song has played over and over in my mind for weeks on end. It has been a comfort to me when the storms of this life swell and seem to cover me in waves.
(The Sweetheart took this beautiful photo of the Chicago Harbor Lighthouse, which stands guard near the Navy Pier.)
“The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are His everlasting arms.” Deuteronomy 33:27 NIV.
That just brought another old song to mind: UN-DER-Neath…are His Everlasting Arms! He is my refuge, and nothing shall alarm!
What hope, peace and strength we find in His Word! “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1.
He gives us His promises, He gives us hope that He is not only with us but He is IN us. “The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.” 1 John 3:24 NIV.
One of the verses says, “I have no fear for Jesus walks beside me.” Do you have that comfort today? There is no need to live without Him; open His Word, you will find Him there.
“He tends His flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them close to His heart…” Isaiah 40:11.
If you are not sure where to start, please email me at ynannette@gmail.com and I will be happy to help. This is too important to let another day go by without knowing your salvation is secure. Signs of the times are everywhere and not only do WE need to be ready but we must tell others that Jesus died for ALL.
The last verse says,
Soon I shall hear the call from heaven’s portals,
‘Come home my child, it’s the last mile you must trod’
I’ll fall asleep, then I’ll wake in God’s new heaven,
Sheltered safe within the arms of God!
Let Him calm your storms, child of God!
What a beautiful voice that girl has! My granddaughters would enjoy her singing. I am praying for you in Latvia, God is doing a work in these endtimes and it’s time for all of the spiritual leaders to find their first loves with God! I love the verse where it says “,,,,we know it by the spirit He gave us.” I am so very grateful for the infilling of the Holy Spirit, the spirit He gave me. And I don’t have to wonder if I have it, the “evidence” is there! Praise God for that.
God bless you, I am praying for you.
I love this!! I have linked up (my post from Sunday, but I am still linking!)! How have I missed this link up before?!! You will see me here again!! Love you, Sister!
Dear Nannette
